Apron for Kasey

My sister was visiting from Pittsburgh when I started making my pinafore and she was so excited about the apron idea that I told her to pick out some fabric for her own version. We spent the evening talking and sewing and the finished apron looked so cute on her that she wore it home and probably still has it on.

This is the fabric I have chosen for the pinafore. I have had this piece of pink linen for years but have never been able to settle on what to make with it. I'm using a piece of vintagy floral trim from Reprodepot.com (a few seasons ago) for the straps which will button at the shoulder. I can't wait to try it out.

Getting started is the hardest part.

I am starting this blog to share my crafting experiences. I have really been inspired by the amazing talent and creativity that I have seen on other blogs and am excited to join the community of crafty bloggers. I think I will start out by trying the August Tie One On apron challenge. I will post my progress soon.
